Description: X Amateur Station Tracking and Information Reporting
Xastir is an APRS client for X. APRS is the Automatic Position Reporting
System, a system where objects report their position (usually obtained from
GPS) on the air; Xastir displays this information graphically.

(or see http://packages.debian.org/xastir)

libmagick6 is a dependency, so I assume it's in there. Everything you
need should be pulled in with xastir, unless you force dpkg to
override the dependencies.

http://ftp.debian.org/debian/pool/main/x/xastir/xastir_1.4.0-1.diff.gz
describes the difference between a "pristine" copy of source and the
one Debian uses... Looks like it uses the standard options:

+build:
+	dh_testdir
+	./configure --prefix=/usr --sysconfdir=/etc --mandir=/usr/share/man
+	$(MAKE)
+	touch build

If you're seeing a problem, and you feel relatively confident that
it's not your config (maybe by either erasing your config or creating
a new user to test), use reportbug to send the details to Debian's bug
tracking system...
