I tried a dist-upgrade from Ubuntu 6.06 to 6.10 with disastrous
results yesterday (quite unusual for a Debian-based distro). They
recommend using the graphical upgrade tools, but I wanted to do it on
a ssh session from my computer in the house where it is a bit warmer
I'm downloading a CD imagewith bittorrent right now and will install
it later today. I'll report back on Xastir as soon as I get to that
point. I'm getting too old for this $%#@*.
