[Xastir] Would this program help for map conversion?

  Could this utility help for map conversion?
ExpertGPS - GPS Mapping Software for Garmin, Magellan, Lowrance, Eagle GPS
Say one downloads OSM maps, run them through this utility to covert to somethingXastir can use and then load the results?  Usable?  Will this program even do thatto make something Xastir could use?
