[Xastir] Geotiff build is failing

Hmmmm,32
   Inherited a quad core fujitsu laptop from work and trying to make the jump from an old dual core 32 bit to Ubuntu 15.10 64bit.I've got the ./configure of Xastir up to missing Geotiff and GDAL support and pulling my hair out over the Geotiff support.Been building by hand and I was able to get USGS geo.pdf's up and running on my old dual core laptop.Here's the output of the sudo ./configure file.  Any ideas why I can't get the Geotiff support in?  The GDAL I can live without but 
I can't read the converted geo.pdfs to be read without Geotiff.
