Remember - in Fedora Core, sudo is not configured. So, unless we want to expand the scope of these how tos (namely how to configure /etc/sudoers, how to add users to groups, etc), let's leave sudo out of the mix. I intentionally choose to avoid introducing sudo at all in this how to just to avoid the 'tar baby' of support that could be created.
DOH!, that's exactly what's been done. Thanks! I've re-edited things to match as well as gone through for consistancy. Trying to keep with the 'first time user who hasen't yet learned all the jargon' perspective.
Also note, the use of the 'su -' command will change the curent working directory to root's home directory. This may well lead to confusion if new users are trying to run 'make' from the wrong directory.
